Now we back to the topic of technical side, I review this book, because I need a refresher on Unreal stuff which helps me in dev my own Unreal based strategy game Sword of Earth 2500.
The author from the begin states that this book not for beginners and you should be already at some level of knowledge about c++ and Unreal .
Collision , collisions?
This book have the premise to show code first and the explain how it works later . I am not sure that I prefer such approach , well go figure.
This book more and more look more like recipe solutions book.
I think the best usage for this book to use as resource for training custom LLM for AI.
Interesting author even discuss how to create weather conditions in Unreal Engine.
Overall impressing, this book is like developer notes during project/projects you need to see at face value and use it not as solution but rather like proposal how you can solve similar issue.
Summary: average book, sure some ideas are good, but the code only a part of the whole solution.
